About the Park
Indian Lake Park is a 177-acre, city owned park. This delightful retreat is an ideal location not only for fishermen, but for picnickers and campers alike. In addition to the 44-acre, no wake lake, the Park has many tree-shaded areas for the non-fisherman, as well. A lovely two-mile nature interpretive trail encompasses the lake and is great for hiking, biking, and cross country skiing in the winter.
For overnight visitors, there are 2 wood framed cabins, 4 renovated railcar cabins (small trailer type), and 2 renovated mobile home trailers available for rent. There are several campsites available for RV's and campers, as well as numerous tent sites. Please visit the Cabins & Camping page for the list of prices.
An enclosed stone lodge is available to host parties and family gatherings. Two open shelters are ideal spots for picnics and events. And, a shower house is available from April through October.
Indian Lake Park is home of Iowa's tallest standing Totem Pole.
